Delivered in a week Portfolio, projects, contact

Website for a photographer

Your work is visual, so your site is heavy, so it is slow, so people leave before the first image appears. That is the paradox of every portfolio, and it is a technical problem with a solution. The rest is about how you tell a project.

A portfolio that appears

Heavy images, fast page

Modern formats, several sizes served by screen, deferred loading for anything out of view. Your photos keep their quality and the page opens in under two seconds, phone and mobile data included. This is the technical point that decides a portfolio.

One page per project

A grid of images tells no story. One page per piece of work, with the context, the brief and what you did with it, turns a portfolio into an argument. It is also what makes you findable on specific searches rather than on your name alone.

A contact form that doesn’t scare people off

A form asking for project type, date and a budget range filters out enquiries that were never going to land and saves you hours. Without becoming a questionnaire: four fields is enough.

Three portfolio samples

The first spells out each project and keeps a journal. The second adds built-in search, useful once the work piles up. The third is a tighter personal site.

Delivered and invoiced

These are not mockups. Two freelance missions delivered for real clients, in trades other than yours: the work is the same, and the case studies are complete.

The price, no detours

€1,190 then €79/month

Setup covers design and delivery. The monthly fee covers hosting, the domain name, the certificate, backups, security updates and routine edits. One line on your statement, not five.

Frequently asked questions

Instagram is my shop window, why a site?

Instagram gets you seen, it does not get you found or hired. Nobody searches « wedding photographer Toulouse » on Instagram, they search it on Google. Your posts vanish down the feed, image quality is recompressed, and you have no say in what the platform shows. The site is findable, it keeps your images at their quality, and it points at your account instead of depending on it.

My files are enormous, it’ll crawl.

That is exactly the job. You hand over your images at full size, and the site produces several versions in modern formats, served by screen size. An 8 MB photo ends up at 200 KB on screen with no visible difference. If you want to check where your current site stands on this, the free audit measures it.

Do I need a client area to deliver photos?

Rarely inside the showcase package, and that is deliberate. Password-protected delivery galleries are a business of their own, and the specialist services do it better and cheaper than anything I could build. We wire yours into the site. If you genuinely need a bespoke client area, that is application development and gets quoted separately.

What about my clients' image rights?

That is your responsibility and it deserves to be organized. Publishing a photo of a recognizable person requires their permission, and for a wedding or a portrait that means a clause in your contract. On the site we plan for credits, the required notices, and a simple procedure to pull an image on request. I am not a lawyer, but I build the site so these cases are anticipated rather than discovered.
